SSC Stenographer Final Result 2025: Cut-Off/Last Selected Candidate Details
The Commission has published post-code and category-wise details of the last shortlisted candidates.
For each applicable post/category combination, the result write-up provides:
- Number of vacancies
- Number of candidates selected
- Total marks
- Part-II marks
- Part-III marks
- Date of birth of the last selected candidate
For example, under Stenographer Grade ‘C’, the last selected marks vary according to the department, post code and category. Similarly, Grade ‘D’ selection marks differ significantly between departments and reservation categories.
Therefore, candidates should refer to the detailed SSC result write-up rather than treating a single figure as the overall cutoff.
How SSC Resolved Tie Cases
Where two or more candidates secured equal aggregate marks in the Computer Based Examination, SSC resolved the tie using the following criteria in sequence:
- Higher marks in Part-III – English Language & Comprehension
- Higher marks in Part-II – General Awareness
- Older candidate based on Date of Birth
- Alphabetical order of candidates’ names
The next criterion was applied only when the previous criterion did not resolve the tie.
Fresh Ranks Allotted
SSC has clarified that fresh ranks have been assigned to candidates included in the final result.
These fresh ranks will supersede the ranks allotted in the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) declared on 31 July 2026.
Other provisions of the earlier FRTA write-up will continue to apply wherever they are not inconsistent with the final result.

- Appointment-related formalities
Candidates should keep their original certificates and supporting documents ready.

The selection is purely provisional.
If a candidate is unable to substantiate any claim made in the application through valid certificates/documents during document verification, the candidature may be cancelled.
Candidates are therefore advised to carefully preserve all relevant documents.
What If a Candidate Does Not Receive Communication?
SSC has stated that candidates should contact the concerned User Department if they do not receive any correspondence regarding document verification or appointment formalities within six months from the declaration of the final result.

Such matters must be taken up with the department to which the candidate has been allocated.
